Josh is a licensed professional counselor and has 10+ years experience working with youth, couples and families. Half of this time was spent as a therapist in an inpatient facility working with individuals, couples and families in crisis. During this same period, Josh has maintained a private practice focusing on youth, parenting and couples counseling.
Josh’s approach to therapy is highly relational focusing on a blend of structure, love, accountability, grace and fun. Josh believes in a holistic approach to helping; which includes, but is not limited to, relationships, spirituality, exercise, diet, sleep and recreation. Josh believes a healthy marriage is central to a healthy family. And, that a family’s health, not only influences generations that follow, but also shapes the community in which they live.
Josh feels blessed to be a husband and father of two. He feels his greatest sense of joy in life comes from shared moments as part of a family. Josh loves to laugh, loves the outdoors and loves the best he can all the time.

Rick has 41 years of business experience and has owned three different small businesses. He has a strong background in accounting and finance having been a CPA, commercial loan officer, chief financial officer, and owner/president. Rick is skilled in finance, computer information, purchasing, operations, and general management, but finds the most fulfilling part of his business experience to be maintaining strong inter-personal relationships with employees, customers, and vendors. Employee retention has been high, and the businesses have benefited multiple individuals and families. This has been most gratifying for Rick.
Rick is the father of eight and grandfather of seven (with two on the way). Rick and his wife, Meg, are grateful to have almost all their children and grandchildren living in Colorado, to have the opportunity to work with several of them, and to have opportunities to babysit and gather together as family.
Relationship Architecture continues the Merrills’ business philosophy by providing a product that is of true benefit to individuals, couples, and families while providing employment in a small business environment. Rick is grateful for the joys experienced as a family, and as a company family, and is excited to be part of this venture.
